Paul Ryan isn’t retiring. Healthy people under 50 don’t retire. It isn’t “soul searching” either. If true, it’s him sprinting away from the Trumpism he regrets empowering. He’ll try to use the tax bill to leave on a high note, but his legacy is cosigning for Trump with McConnell.
